Antique H. Ferguson Tractors
Henry “Harry” Ferguson was an engineer who is renowned for his development of tractors. Ferguson knew the weakness of having a tractor and a plough being separate units. So, in 1917 he developed a plough which could be firmly attached to the Model T Ford.
Harry Ferguson also developed a 3 point hitching system that was fitted the Ford line of tractors. In 1948 Harry Ferguson began production of his own line of tractors starting with the TO-20. These tractors to no surprise was fitted with his patented 3-point hitch. In 1953 Ferguson merged with Massey Harris and became the Massey-Harris-Ferguson Co. This merger eventually turned into Massey Ferguson.
