The Legendary John Deere Model 4020 was produced from 1964-1972. A total of 57,471 of these beauties were built. 48,482 of these were diesel, 5,268 were LP gas, and 3,721 were regular gas engines. In 1972 if you recall,(and I know most of you can), these sold new for about $10,345 dollars. The liquid cooled, 6 cylinder, powerful engines that ran these Deereās were 362 cubic inches in the LP and gas models, and 404 cubic inches in the diesel model.

The Farmall Super A was manufactured by International Harvester in the years 1947-1954. The Super A was an updated improved model of the A. One of the biggest changes was in reply to the 3-point system of Ferguson used on the Fords, a new touch controlled hydraulic system. The Super A has 4 forward gears and 1 reverse gear, and featured a wide front end, a 113 cubic inch 4 cylinder gasoline and kerosene engine.

The Allis Chalmers D17 was one of their best selling models. It was built from 1958-67. Between those years 84,914 of these orange beauties were built and were sold for around $5500. The D17 featured a power-director hand clutch transmission that was four gears forward and one reverse gear. The AC D17 had power adjustable rear wheels, and a traction boost system. With the hand lever clutch it allowed for on the go shifting between the direct and lower drive and a neutral allowing the PTO to continue power.
Allis Chalmers made the D17 in 3 different engine types, regular gas, LP gas, and diesel. The gas engine put out about 52.7 hp, the LP gas engine produced about 50.8hp, and the diesel produced 51.1 horses.
